With introduction of WordPress native lazy loading, do we still need a lazy loading plugin ?

I am a bit confused, I just learned that now WordPress offers native lazy loading and it is turned on by default.
Does that mean if we have a third party tool that offers lazy loading do we turn it off ?
Also how in the world do you turn off the native lazy loading that now comes with WordPress ? I heard that you have to some of your themes files to turn it off ?

  1. The image in HTML should contains “lazyload” attribute, if the theme doesn’t support, you will need to contact theme developer for advice when we have no idea how your site is built.
