woocommerce and domain+alias

So this is not a wordpress specific question, but I hope someone here has the answer.

I run a website with a long .com address (say: localartinstitute.com) and I've recently added an alias with a shorter address on a different tld (say; lai.cx). Now for the wordpress side of things everything works fine. The problem I've ran into is that I run a donation 'store' on the website. It breaks when people access the site via the shorter url. There's an 'an unexpected error occurred' displayed. Anyone know how to remedy this?
