PS I should mention that I do have the theme set for no sidebar on the checkout page but the sidebar displays anyway.

You can take a quick look at how the checkout page should look https://demo.siteorigin.com/north/shop/. If possible, please, send a link to the shop page concerned, and we’ll take a look. It’s hard to say what’s happening without inspecting the page.
wow thanks for the fast reply. basically, on the cart and checkout pages, the sidebar reappears even though I have it selected to not display.
As a result, the payment information doesn’t have enough width to display

Thanks for the update. To confirm, when editing the Cart page, you’ve located Page Settings in the right column and selected Page Layout > No Sidebar? At the moment, the setting appears to be using Page Layout > Default.
aaah thank you! Since the theme setting over-rode the settings for the product page, I didn’t realize it didn’t affect the cart and checkout. problem solved. I’m so happy because I love this theme. Thanks for saving the day!
