QR-Codes for every User
Hi everybody, I am kind of new to WooCommerce and I want to check, if my idea could be realized with WooCommerce.
All the customers (known in advamce) get a physical chip with a QR-Code. They should be able to create a User-Account and link this somehow to their QR Code. They can buy my products online in advance (always one week), and then pick up their order at a pick-up station with their QR Code.
That’s the plan.
Now I have in general 2 Questions:
1.
Is it possible to link the QR-Code to a user account? Ideal would be, if they could create an account if they scan it the first time and so the qr-code gets linked to the account. Otherwise, the QR Code must be linked to an existibg account and the users get the account-credentials when handed out the QR Code. With “linking”, i mean to see at every order which QR Code belongs to this order.
2.
Is it possible to generate a random code to every order and send this with the order-confirmation? This should be like a one-time-code for the pickup.
I am familiar with wordpress, but I am not sure if it is a good idea to make this happen with woocommerce and how much custom-code this would need.
