Woocommerce Product Category

[ad_1]

Hey there,

I'm a newbie to WooCommerce and trying to figure out the best way to structure my product categories. I've been researching and watching tutorials, but I haven't found a definitive answer.

Scenario:

Let's say I'm selling clothing. Would it be considered good practice to create a category like "T-Shirt" and then have subcategories like "Short Sleeve" and "Long Sleeve"? I would have 4-5 main categories, and each category would have 4-5 categories.

I'm planning to use a mega menu and a product category loop grid on my landing page. What's the best approach in this case?

Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Edit: The loop grid will only have 4 sub-categories that I would promote. I tested if it is possible to make, but only one category was showing. I think my category structure have some problem.

  1. You could simply make a T-shirt category and tag the products with “log sleeve”, “short sleeve”, etc. This way you could also use filters in the category of t-shirts. Loop grids can be configured to work with tags
