I use Safari, so your reply prompted me to try Firefox and Chrome – and it worked as it should. That’s a relief.
Now I just need to find out why there is a problem with Safari not showing the site properly – I’ve cleared the caches.
Any Safari users out there who might know?

I see now that Safari/ios has some problems with wordpress or its plus ins. So I’ll close this thread
