Wordfence blocking many IPs from united states?

I am new to the wordpress world and just started a website. I got wordfence plugins many industry people vouch for it on twitter. Its a free version. I am seeing its blocking many IPs from other countries, Specially united states where my audience is. Isn’t it going to affect my USA traffic? Don’t come at me for not knowing, I am new to all of this. Thanks
