WordPress acount removal, help!

[ad_1]

Hi guys, a little help?

I am trying to remove a user as admin, but I am worried that I am deleting the account as well (it’s a work account belonging to another worried college). So to confirm, when the promt says “delete user”, it is only referring to the deletion from website as admin, right?

Thank you!

  1. It isn’t clear as to what you mean by ‘it’s a work account’.

If the user doesn’t need to administer the site, you could assign the account a lower privileged role. Deleting an account removes the ability to log into the site and perform certain actions depending on the type of role.

  2. There are no “accounts”, only users.

Users are assigned roles, like subscriber, and administrator.

Deleting a user prevents the user from logging in again.
