WordPress adding random numbers and numerals to my page links

[ad_1]

Hello,

I have noticed when visiting my WordPress pages on different browsers, that there seems to be a random long code with numbers and numerals after the original URL. For example, if I have a page called: wordpresstest.com/stores, it adds something like this: wordpresstest.com/stores?_gl=1%2a37pubs%2a_ga%2aNJhf9kfkGJG4kGkg9G9gG6Ag.%2a_ga_XZGSNEG8D5%9nkF8g7GkdQwNy4xNC4xLjE3M938jglsdJGM8Dkl.

Does anybody know why this is happening, and is there something I can do to fix this issue?

Thanks alot in advance!

  1. This is not caused by WordPress, it’s caused by Google Analytics cross-domain tracking.

If you’re not using the same GA property on multiple domains you can disable it entirely in GA settings.
