WordPress and Chrome while editing

[ad_1]

Hello

My wife is spinning up a site and fighting WordPress slowness/non responsiveness in the UI while trying to create/edit the site itself. Not load times or on the user browsing side. Restarting the machine seems to clear it up for a while. So okay memory leak. With all of the performance improvements on just browsing a site, what chrome settings make sense for word press? Or would they be the same? There are only 5,000 pages with outdated instructions to go through on that alone!

Apologies if this is already some where.

  1. Try disabling the Chrome extensions and seeing if it improves anything. Some extensions are really crap, especially with the block editor. It’s not a memory leak in the block editor, it’s the extensions that really hurt you.

Notably, any grammar type extensions, or any extensions that fiddle with the input of data, like typing or spelling or something like that.
