I have an OLD wordpress site that is currently on WordPress 5.8.7. I’m in the process of upgrading to a newer server running a more modern version of PHP, etc.
I currently have the site imported onto the new server and have found my Markdown plugin is no longer supported as a plugin ([PHP Markdown Extra]). Yes, I’ve been using that for 20 years. All of my posts are stored in the database as markdown, so I need a plugin that can read those posts and display properly. I’d also like to continue with the same workflow in the future. I’d also like to avoid the block editor if possible.
Are there any good plugins that would let me do this? The only one I’ve found is [Markup Markdown]). It does most of what I need but seems to have trouble with some WordPress shortcakes, like video embeds, which are littered throughout old posts.
