Hi everyone, I am a long-term user of wordpress and I have never encountered something like this. Yes the Gutenberg editor is slower in many cases, but I quite like it and I feel like I can write my articles better with it.
With that said, in the past week it has been unbearable to use and I haven’t been able to write anything new due to this. The reason is that it is so slow that every key entered from the keyboard takes about 2-3 seconds to appear, it’s impossible to use really.
I have tried to disable all my plugins (2-3, not more) but the situation hasn’t changed. I tried running it in Chrome instead of Firefox, but nada.
I tried upgrading php (I work on Linux) and do a full system update & upgrade but that didn’t solve it either.
I also tried to run it in a clean incognito browser session to see if anything from my firefox was messing with it, but no luck.
This happens already when I add the first 2-3 headings of the article, with no text. Basically, when I *start* writing an article already.
Does anybody have the same issue?
