If everything got destroyed on my website or worse case scenario. The only thing i really need to rebuild a simliar site is a copy of the backup and does that contain the wp files? Sorry ask silly question.
I am using the deluxe wordpress package. I messed up a simple domain transfer wondering what did i do wrong. All i need to do was go into the cpanel in the domain or add domain section and change the ips and maybe run a better search replace to change the ips in the php database? I have done cpanel and php before but again i messed up
When migrating a website my host tried to charge me for it godaddy so i stumbled and did it myself. I feel like they have a policy in place not to help you at all. Anyone found a solid guides to migrate from start to fininsh like host to host or local to host? When i stumbled the issues revolved around domain, addon domain, plugins or database username and password.
Last question per building out a wordpress website is there any advantage to building out a website local first the migrating the files?
