WordPress.com Cookie Expiry Query

[ad_1]

Hi,

I’ve had a [wordpress.com]) site for a few years now (business plan) and in general have a positive experience. While there are limitations- I have mostly been able to work around them (thanks custom code snippets).

When my users log-in via email address- they are only logged in until the end of the session and plug-ins to extend the expiry don’t work- (security feature of wordpress.com- however users of my site are merely subscriver level, I am and will be the only admin). I have asked their support team, but it’s not something within their remit…

So my question…

1. Is there a way to extend the “logged\_in” cookie expiry immediately followign log-in safely? Literally just set the cookie expiry to 2 weeks immediately following login. I am cautious that there may be uninted security concerns

I had considered creating a php snippet, though I can#t get it to run at ini level (if you know what I mean)

Any and all help is appreciated, thanks 🙂
