wordpress content editor problems with codes

hello, I am new to WordPress, trying to write an article with around 1500 lines of code.

with 3000 lines of English lines.

And I’m using \[sourcecode language=”plain”\] \[/sourcecode\], but this is not working, it changes “” put some other text (amp)in it. tried <pre></pre> with content builder but no luck.

if i fix one part of the code, the other part jumble-up, it becomes a kind of loop.

what is the best way to write codes in English? any advice?
