I’m writing a blog post in the usual manner. Saved last night, this morning I go to continue working on it/editing it and instead of a reasonably readable column width of material in the editor (when set to “desktop”) the text I’ve typed is running edge-to-edge across the entire width of the window with only a VERY narrow band of white space (way less than one character in width) on either side.
If I hit the “gear” icon to bring out the sidebar on the right and/or the list view icon or block inserter icon to bring out a sidebar on the left those sidebars appear and narrow the text area accordingly, but it still runs edge-to-edge across what remains with only a razor-thin band of white space at the edge
If I switch to tablet or mobile view the editing space narrows with dark areas on either side, but text still runs literally edge to edge in the narrowed area, so it still looks/feels weird/wrong with not even a glimmer of white space to the left & right of the character edges.
I’m using Firefox, so I tried it in Chrome expecting it was some sort of compability bug related to a wordpress update and it’s exactly the same. Almost totally unreadable/unwork-with-able.
I’m just using the default editor with free wordpress.
There are no photos or anything embedded, just text, standard paragraphs and quote blocks, like I’ve always used.
Is this some sort of site bug or something? Help.
