WordPress – Elementor Issue

I’m sorta new to WordPress and its workings, and I need some assistance. I installed and activated a WordPress theme on my site, and I was wondering how one edits this theme with elementor plug-in. I’ve added elementor and activated it, and now I’m stuck. How do I connect the two? Is it even possible? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
