WordPress Import Tool – Overwrite Pages/Posts

We want to import some changes posts/pages and we want to replace the old with the new using the WP Importer. Is there a way to have it overwrite the old pages with the new? I believe the default behavior is to skip pages/posts that already exist. If not with the importer tool, what is a good workaround?
