I’m trying to link to my company’s YouTube channel in WordPress, but any time I go to preview the post I’m making, the link is different than what I entered in the text editer. Here’s what I have in the editor (I changed the channel name for privacy):
<span data-contrast="auto">Be sure to subscribe to our</span><a href="https://www.youtube.com/youtube" rel="noopener"><span data-contrast="auto">YouTube channel</span><span data-contrast="auto">But, for some reason, whenever I open the preview, the YouTube link instead somehow becomes “https://www.youtube.com/embed/youtube”. Which immediately breaks, because it doesn’t expect you to try and embed YouTube channels.
Is there a way to stop WordPress from changing my links? It only does this to YouTube links.
