Hey legends, I have a theme (which got all jacked up) and I’m trying to change it. I’ve imported a new theme, changed the demo, and the old theme (all jacked up) is still there. Also, I can’t figure out how to make my site live.
I’m hosting on Bluehost (if that matters)
I realize I’m clueless, any pointers would be appreciated.

Replacing a theme doesn’t remove any content that that theme created. You need to remove that manually.

It is always recommended to use fresh installation or make a staging site and make changes.
Always use wordpress reset plugin to clean all old residue from old theme . And try to install new theme you can see it better.
If you want to use old text and images make sure if both use same page builder. Else it will be a mess to modify existing site.
I would recommend try to do it as fresh.
