WordPress not saving changes to pages

[ad_1]

Hello! I have a concerning issue. Yesterday, I made many changes to a client’s website, even remembering to publish and make updates.

I checked this morning, and the updates were reversed to last week. Luckily I operate out of two computers where one is always connected to the previous day’s work just in case something like this happened, but this isn’t the first time.

I have had this problem using Elementor and WP Bakery on the client’s site. Any clue as to what’s going on?

  1. Hi there

I had a similar problem recently, I don’t know if it might help you or not.

I saved the post changes that I designed with Elementor and published the post. Then I went to the post management page in the WordPress management dashboard that I had already opened and created some tags and clicked on save.

Then I saw that the changes I made in Elementor were lost. I even tried to change the address of the post page from the management section of the WordPress dashboard, I changed it and clicked on saving the page, but it did not work.

It was a very simple problem and I don’t know why this mistake occurred to me, but the only reason was that usually you should not open a post or page through the WordPress editor and edit it with Elementor, and when the post or page You designed and saved it in Elementor, if it is open in the management dashboard, be sure to refresh the page once.

I don’t know if this is exactly what you meant or not, because what you wrote was as if a backup from the previous week was restored on your hosting.

  2. First off, you should not be using WPBakery and Elementor on the same site. Technically you “can” but you really shouldnt. Now, to the actual issue, it is most likely a caching problem. You can start with this guide from elementor [https://elementor.com/help/changes-dont-appear-online/](https://elementor.com/help/changes-dont-appear-online/)
