WordPress or Squarespace/Wix: Easiest for Non-Tech-Savvy Clients?

I’m working on a school project where I need to build a website for an older gentleman who does home inspections. His current site is really outdated (im talking 15 years outdated), and I’m trying to decide between using WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or others for the new site. The most important thing is that he’ll need to be able to easily update small things like pricing once or twice a year after the site is done.

I’m wondering if WordPress (maybe using a builder like Elementor) can be just as easy for him to manage as Squarespace and Wix with their drag-and-drop editors. I have a 2 month timeline as well so I want to make sure the project is a bit more complex for me and my teammate (we're both MIS majors). In that regard I’m leaning toward WordPress for more customization.

For those who have experience with these platforms, is WordPress a good option for a client who isn't very tech-savvy but needs to make small textual changes? Or would it be safer to stick with Squarespace or Wix for ease of future updates?

Thanks!

  1. He only needs to upload things once or twice ? What about reservations ? Why don’t you push for him to make his reservations online ?
As a website builder you need to be able to tell clients what they can do.
WordPress is the right choice, but there is a leaning curve.
