Hello, I want to make my own online store website. Which one would be best? It will be only me and a few friends owning the website, we will most likely sell clothes and other accessories. I have used wordpress.com for a personal portfolio/blog but heard org has much more potential and is far more cost friendly.

For ORG, all you pay for (besides, if you go for premoum stuff, such as plugins or themes) is the hosting + domain.
For an online shop, I’d rather go with a domain instead of yourshop.wordpress.com
You can get domains pretty cheap, e.g. on Porkbun. And for hosting, depending on what and where you want it, some recommendations are on the sidebar, e.g. KnownHost for the US and so on.
Just stay away from GoDaddy and a few others.
Don’t use [Wordpress.com](https://Wordpress.com). Get hosting somewhere like wpengine, namecheap, kinsta, siteground, where ever, just not [wordpress.com](https://wordpress.com). Avoid bluehost, hostgator, godaddy – all the bottom of the barrel, [EIG/NewFold](https://researchasahobby.com/full-list-eig-hosting-companies-brands/) companies.

If you want to have the freedom (but also the burden) of managing and maintainig, updating, etc, your server use WordPress.org. If you need a store and want someone else to take care of the technical stuff, use WordPress.com or Woo Express.
