having an issue with my WordPress.org sites where when I register a new user via the wp-login screen no registration email is being sent to the email account. The user is being created, but the email does not receive the registration email (I’ve checked spam, done this like 30 times now).
If I send a password reset email from within WordPress, that email is delievered correctly. I’ve tried to setup the SMTP plugin thing but the email software used by Hostgator is Roundcube and I have no idea how to set it up correctly – it doesn’t seem to work with their bogus email server so Idk how to make this work.
I’ve never had this issue in the past, and i’m suspicious that it might be somehow related to the hostgator account rather than a wordpress issue – i’m having the issue on all of my WP sites on the account so its not a plugin issue, but all of the sites were built with Softaculus which was never the case in my previous wordpress account. Anyone know how to solve this? I’m losing my mind over here.
