WordPress & SiteGround Ports

[ad_1]

Hi guys,

I was asked to look at helping resolve some issues with a security report but I can’t seem to get a an answer that makes sense in my head.

This WP site is hosted on SG. The report says there’s a bunch of ports, SQL, FTP etc open. There is no SQL, PostG servers running within the company.

Now on the SG it says these ports are open as standard for shared services.

Is there anyway to hide these ports at all from the WP side?

I expected Wordfence to resolve this but it doesn’t seem to…

I just need a bit of a steer because it seems a bit mad that SG doesn’t allow you to close these ports.

Thanks in advance!
