WordPress sitemap shows weird urls

[ad_1]

I noticed 3 urls in my yoast seo sitemap have a really weird structure. They don’t have this structure in the post editor, but they do in Google and my sitemap. The urls are something like this: amazon.com/the%b%es-tIp-h%one

It’s very annoying and can affect my SEO as links will come across as spammy. Has anyone had an experience like this? Really hope I can find a solution.

I read online that it might be because of site kit, but I’m not sure what that could have to with it or how to fix it.

Thanks to anyone who helps me out, really appreciate it.

  1. %20 is spaces, maybe remove spaces in these pages slugs, and set up a redirect 301 from the % ones to the non, — you could also use dashes the-b-es-tip-h-one

  2. You want to make sure the slugs are proper for seo and whole words like the-best-phone so search engines can understand it. The dashes are basically spaces so search engines would read it as “the best phone”.

Try creating a test page and check what happens to the slug, if it gets messed up then disable site kit and create another test page. Repeat this until you find the problematic plugin.
