My client has a WIX account (he pays for the domain/emails). Additionally, he has been paying an old marketing agency monthly for the hosting. It is a WordPress website. I want to move him away from this agency hosting (but keep the WordPress site) because I can’t claim ‘Google Search Console’ etc. I am just unsure of this process as I am not as comfortable with WIX or a website migration for that matter.
1. Will moving the website from the agency server to WIX, cause any disruption with current search results?
2. My client is already paying for WIX, would it cost anything more to have the domain hosted on WIX?
3. Is WIX even a good solution for hosting the WordPress website? I feel like most will say no, but honest answers and recommendations is appreciated.
4. I am not used to WIX, but I heard someone mention WIX studio. Not sure what to do with this information.
Ultimately, I want to give my client the best solution (I am not looking to pay for anything too crazy right now and I don’t want my client to pay anything either). I just want our control back. And again, I also want to keep the WordPress site, so not looking to make design changes right now.

You can’t host a WP site on Wix. Wix is a closed/proprietary platform, not a host – only their software works on their platform, and nowhere else.
Use Google Site Kit plugin – that will get you connected to GSC.
