I just got a security alert from my security monitoring system a about this high risk vulnerability.
“XSS errors occur when a program includes untrusted data on a new webpage without proper validation or escaping, or updates an existing webpage with user-specified data using a browser API to create HTML or JavaScript. XSS allows hackers to run scripts in the victim’s browser, whereby the user’s sessions can be taken over, websites can be falsified, or the user can be redirected to malicious websites.”
