Would you consider “soft launching” a (WordPress) website, or would you ensure to have most of the features in place before you launched a website?

I have a WordPress (content) website at the moment and am looking to add to its functionality by adding ecommerce features… The ecommerce aspect is still not finished, and won’t be for another 6-7 months. This is also delaying the “relaunch” of my website.

However, I’m thinking of doing a “soft launch” of my website, as the re-theme of the site was done a few months ago.

Would you launch the site now as a “soft launch”, or would you ensure to have all the pieces in place and then launch?

Basically… Would you launch the site as it is now where it’s still very much a content-centric re-themed site, or would you wait it out (6-7 months) and launch it when the ecommerce component is also completed?
