I started working with WordPress for 6 months by myself, I was able to make some websites for real clients
But I have two issues:
1 – I am not satisfied with my current skills and I feel that I can do a better job
2-how I handle clients (contracts, deadlines, after sell service, etc…)
For the first point I improving my skills by taking php and wp development courses.
But I don’t know how to fix the second issue, should I join a WordPress agency to learn how to handle clients?

Yea, work for an agency first. You will learn so much more that way, especially soft skills like dealing with clients and business acumen.
What would be your goal, would you like to become a freelancer or agency who works for clients, or something else?
With an agency you can learn a lot. Before switching to full time freelancing I worked in one agency for 2.5 years. Especially in the first 6 months I learned a lot. It was like a professional course, but paid. But I also did some freelancing before getting there.
The agency experience may delay in part your learning on how to handle clients, especially if there’s a project/account manager and you never talk with them.
To learn that part, ideally you should talk with other freelancers or agencies, that have some success. It’s difficult to find good and honest resources online about this. There are some valid YouTube channels that can help, but often they’re aimed at professionals who are already successful, highly skilled, and with a long list of clients. It’s also necessary a lot of critical thinking to distinguish good advice from the bs
If you have the time and will you can also do agency + freelance work on the side for a period
