I was trying to gain access to my wp-config file and couldn’t find it anywhere on my computer, so i downloaded a wp-file explorer plugin that gave me the name of the directory, ‘test’. I tried searching for it on my computer but it’s nowhere to be found. I then decided that if I downloaded the wp-config file from the directory through the plugin, edited the lines that I needed to, then reuploaded the file in place of the existing wp-config file, then that would work as a roundabout way of editing the file. I did this, but now the wp-config.php is unreadable.
I’m now getting a 500 internal server error. I had 2 backups of the site on the dashboard, and I have the original wp-config file on my computer, but I don’t even think the directory is anywhere to be found on my computer. I can’t access the files through Cpanel as the site isnt even online yet.
I’m just kind of freaking out, could anyone please help, thank you.
