I just got an email from a client. They are a nonprofit with a current payment form that is the free WP Giving payment form for donations. Adding custom inputs is a premium feature which they don’t have budget to pay for. They have it connected to stripe, have an elementor site on wp.org, but can add a PayPal account if needed.
They want a solution that includes a payment form with a checkbox that allows user to opt in to joining the email list (which connects to the current “join our email list” form that automates to a google sheet), an option for the payment to be a reoccurring monthly donation, a way to automate thank you emails that are styled to match their branding, while still being an embedded or iframe form within the page.
I’ve been doing a lot of research for my own embedded payment form. Had created an html form, styled it and thought I could easily match the inputs to their respective counterparts on stripe. However the dev I was working with said this could only be achieved with creating my own server and that I should just go with the payment link option with stripe.
There was a stripe widget I used to have that allowed a custom payment amount and a subscription option.
Any ideas I should look into or solutions that come to mind? Thanks so much in advance for any suggestions.
TLDR: need a donation based payment form solution that includes the ability for the user to opt-in to the email list and/or making a monthly donation subscription as well as an automated thank you email that is html/css styled.
