So on our website we have two lang, EN/FR. Originally we were using the default search but it wasnt working as expected so we tried to use elasticpress plugin, but that out of the box didnt work with WPML so we did was to use the plugin and modify it so that it would index/search wpml BUT its still not working properly..
what happens is on my local build, if i index and do the search in english locale, it gives english results and same for fr.. but on our QA build something happens and the results are distorted so if you searched for volunteer you start getting both english posts and fr posts..
the code was written by someone else who has since left..
is there an out of the box solution or has anyone done something like this?
