Hey, I am experiencing an issue with sitemap access – can’t access it (whenever I try, I end up on my site’s homepage) and Google Search console reports an error. Anybody any advice?
(search engine indexing is enabled, also checked by robots.txt and I have the correct url)

Can you access WP core folders from within wordpress? You can access them with any free file folder plugin.
You can also try the free version of Yoast or AIOSEO plugin. They will allow you access to your sitemap.xml file. AIOSEO will check whether its there and generate one for you if its not.
