WP Stateless: How to remove the random numbers and letters from file name?

Every image I upload has a random set of numbers and letters appended to the filename by the WP Stateless plugin in the Stateless Mode.

I've tried to override the cache-busting feature setting the WP_STATELESS_MEDIA_CACHE_BUSTING constant to 'false', but that didn't work. Is there any other way to remove these characters and keep my filenames clean?
