After much searching to find why google news and google discover stopped selecting articles from my blog, I contacted the Google news publisher help center, and there they noticed that the plugin is not working properly, and does not give the correct hreflang hints on google resulting in irreparable damage to my blog’s SEO.
in the hreflang list, the Plugin does not give the command hreflang=”x-default” to show google which language is the default one from the list it creates.
Please upgrade the plugin immediately by adding the hreflang=”x-default” attribute (at the top) showing google what the default language of the article is
