A combination of different menu items

[ad_1]

Hey everyone,
I’m a bit confused and hope that someone in here can help. This is the scenario:

The website has multiple pages, lets call them A, B and C. In addition to that, page B is designed as a one pager with segments or anchors called B1 and B2. The menu itself contains all 3 pages and both segments of B as indivual links using the complete URL with #CSS ID at the end. Both B1 and B2 are subpoints of the menu item ‘B’.

So far so good. It works perfectly fine if I’m on page A and click on item B1 or B2: Page B will be loaded and it jumps to the desired section. But if I’m already on page B and want to jump to one of the sections, it starts to scroll down. But as soon as it reaches the section, the whole page refreshes and I’m back on top of page B.

Any ideas on how to fix that? My theory is that this is a theme related problem, but maybe I’m missing something. Thanks in advance!
