A different website is showing on my local network unless I connect with VPN?

[ad_1]

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right subreddit or if I need to find a networking-help subreddit, but I’m having a weird issue with my WordPress site where on my network it is showing as a filler website I didnt create yet utilizing my URL in its headers and what not.

If I use a VPN or view on mobile via data not wifi, it shows the correct version of the website. This is only on my net and I’m not sure if its a WP issue or if I need to post somewhere else.

What I see with a VPN/someone else sees: [https://i.imgur.com/2jhcwcu.png])

I’ve already tried clearing my DNS cache, clearing my browser cache and all data, and rebooting the router more than once to try and refresh the network. It does this on all devices on the network, not just my PC.

Thanks for any and all assistance.

  1. It’s a DNS issue. Whatever DNS you use on your wifi is serving different info about the domain than your wireless or VPN provider.

ETA just because you cleared your local cache and rebooted your router, doesn’t mean that the DNS servers you’re actually referring to were reset.
