Hi y'all!
On a quest to find a way to implement sort of a Dialogue tree on a website project I want to do. The idea would be like a old PC console/terminal where user types in numbers and the site then tells more info according to what key or number had been "dialed". Pretty much exactly like IVR ( Interactive voice response) or AA (auto attendant) on a phone call.
After a while of scratching my head how to go about this, my friend said that Basically a chatbot? And yes this is it but all chatbots I tend to find are "AI" chatbots. I do not need or even want a AI chatbot. All it needs to do is print out a string that user can answer in the text field of the "chat" with given options. Nothing else would be accepted. This then reveals more info and or media with more options to navigate back to access different content.
I know I have interacted with a dumb chatbot like this before. But all I tend to find nowadays are god damn AI chatbots. I do not want this. Give me a dumb bot where I control every interaction or redirect if answer/selection/command is not right.
Is there any such thing left?
