Hey everyone, would appreciate some help here.
I am embarking on a new plugin that I would like to have be a ‘freemium’ plugin.
The model itself is not yet hashed out, but lets just say a user can download from wordpress.org, use the tooling and it they want to add more users they would have to have an account.
I have used ACF for a long time but noticed that their license states ( you can bundle this in free [wordpress.org] plugins ) and metabox has the same terms as well.
I would like to have the ‘free version’ of the plugin on wordpress.org just for the ease of users finding it, using it and hopefully getting the full version
Question is, does this mean these tools are out of the question? I need functionality like repeaters and admin pages.
I know this can be done through just regular plugin development, just trying to save time here as this is porting an existing application to a WP plugin. I have also looked at carbonfields and it seems like it may work but there are some things that are lacking.
Anyhow, just looking for any info / direction from anyone who may have been in the same boat.
