@wilcox99 From what I am seeing in the screenshot you have shared my best guess is a plugin or theme conflict is occurring which is preventing the popup window typically associated with adding media to a post/page.
If you install, activate, and then choose troubleshoot mode with this plugin: It will allow you to deactivate all plugins and revert to the default theme in the admin area without affecting what your site visitors will see. Once you are in troubleshoot mode then try creating a new post and adding media to see if the problem is resolved. If that is the case then the problem lies with one of your plugins or your theme.
Use the top menu troubleshoot menu to reactivate your plugins and theme one at a time until the error reoccurs. When the error reoccurs you have identified the plugin or theme that is causing the conflict. Be sure to report the conflict to the plugin or theme developer and they will typically have a fix within a few days.
@wlpdrpat Understood, thank you for your quick response, I will try that. I just need to find a different troubleshooting plugin because this one is giving me error message:
But I guess there are also different plugins with this functionality so I will look around and let you know about the result.
@wilcox99 That is very strange as the Health Check plugin is actually created and managed by projectdmc.org. I’ve never seen it throw that type of error but that could actually point to your problem being a permissions issue with your hosting account. For wordpress to work as expected your hosting account needs to be set up correctly and have the appropriate permissions for reading, writing, and executing. The fact that the plugin couldn’t copy a required file would point to an issue with your hosting set up and permissions.
@wlpdrpat OK issue finally solved with help of a hosting support. It seems CDN was somehow causing the issue. After purging the CDN Cache and changing the settings to “Cache All Query Strings” (was before set to “Ignore Query String”), there’s now no issue with badly visible media library.
Thank you for your help though!
