Also the default themes have their own support forums where you can ask questions. The current one e.g. here:
Individual adjustments can be done best with child themes, if it goes beyond CSS. More about this here:
I think a big advantage of the themes is that almost every plugin should be compatible with them. I can’t see any disadvantages at the moment.
i activated 2022 and did some minor things in header area like uploading a new logo picture, adjusting its size. that is all. it is not late to start a child theme and work on it right? so if i work on a child theme the main 2022 theme totally is unaffected? and if i revert back to it i see the default 2022 theme? using child theme would have the advantage of unaffecting main theme which means when i ask for help in support forum everyone knows the main theme? is that the advantage? otherwise if i use and modify only 1 child theme, then it is no different than working on main theme right?
it is not late to start a child theme and work on it right?
No, its never to late. There are plugins which help to export and import settings from parent to child-theme. Or you do it manually.
so if i work on a child theme the main 2022 theme totally is unaffected?
Yes.
and if i revert back to it i see the default 2022 theme?
Yes. Then without your own settings as they are in your not active child-theme. But you can switch back at any time.
using child theme would have the advantage of unaffecting main theme which means when i ask for help in support forum everyone knows the main theme?
Yes, but you should mention what you have changed in your child-theme if your question belongs to it.
thanks ! they should make a thanks button here )
