All photos showing in bad quality

[ad_1]

I use to code my websites but it is not very userfriendly when others have to edit it, so people told me use WordPress instead and i am not amused by my experince so far.

Whenever i upload a picture, it is always in a really really bad quality. I made them in the size i needed and in 72ppi. No luck. Then i tried to go bigger and bigger but that didn’t help the quality at all.
I’ve tried to look it up and i see someone saying that WordPress naturally compress the photos around 75% but this is A LOT more than 75%.

I’ve tried peoples solution with custom code to make it stop compressing – didn’t work.
I’ve tried editing the default image sizes in settings, media – didn’t work.
I’ve tried a few diffrent plug-ins but none seems to work.
Fun thing is, they look okay in the gallery in the backend.

Does anyone have a clue why all images are compressed on my side? A setting i have missed?
I use the theme Avada, if that helps.

  1. Are you sure you are inserting the full size image and not its thumbnail?
If you are inserting it through the media library check the bottom right corner for the size that is selected.

  2. Share you URL, as it sounds like you’re choosing the incorrect image size. It’s easy to do if you don’t know where to look.

  3. You can disable image compression in WordPress. I manually compress all the images on my site including the thumbnails.
