Am I getting paid right?

I’m currently working for a client and making this website – (almost done with it)

The job has been given to me by a middleman and I’m getting paid $1000 AUD for it. Is that the correct price for this website?

ps – Design has changed a lot on client’s demand

  1. If you feel that’s the right price go for it! Apparently you have some level of ethics which is good instead of just trying to squeeze the customer for all you can. Generally it’s good to try to quote before the project begins. Some people charge by the hour, while others charge by the job. As you mentioned – it’s unlikely to get a project where major changes are requested after major design time has been spent by the designer, but you can either charge for such revisions or you can offer 3 revisions and then after that it’s extra (but quote based on doing the revisions – you could always offer a discount later on if they somehow surprise you by not needing a significant change or 2). Anyway it’s only worth what someone will pay for it – just be confident and casual when providing the bill.

  2. If you don’t know what you’re worth just don’t accept the job. It’s not our problem.

This gets asked so frequently maybe do a search than ask everyone else to do your job for you?
