Is there a simple way to analyze one’s own WordPress site?
I’ve been reading a lot about how WordPress has a lot of clutter, weight and bloat, and that static site generators (for example, Hugo) are more favored now for blogging.
But still, I find WordPress the easiest to work with when self hosted
However, because I don’t know very well how to create WordPress sites, I just kind of start editing Pages in the editor and hope things work out OK. But this makes me feel that it isn’t configured in the best way possible for it to be as fast as possible.
Are there any go-to recommendations to keep it lean, plugins to install, plugins to avoid?
