I’m looking into hiring somebody to build me a WordPress website for cheap. Would hiring someone from for example India or Philippines for cheaper rate be a horrible or ineffective idea? I obviously would chat with them and see exactly their skill set before I pay and I have basic WordPress skills so ik what a decent design looks like, I’m not a complete novice. Any advice will help! I’m trying to get my brand/business going

Depends on how much you are willing to spend on the website. Sure you could get a super cheap developer but then also means they ll give you the quality less money gets.
leave them alone please, cheap means cheap, and if you don’t want to spend money you can try to grab a theme and you’re done. i’m not cheap and i never had a client from fiverr.
