I’m facing a frustrating issue with WordPress and could really use some assistance. Here’s the problem: whenever my client tries to send user invitation emails, we keep encountering this error message: “Error: The user invitation email could not be sent, the user account was not created.”
We’ve double-checked everything, from the email settings to the user roles, but still haven’t been able to pinpoint the cause of this issue. It’s becoming a roadblock in our workflow, and we’re eager to resolve it as soon as possible.
If anyone has encountered a similar problem or has any insights into what might be causing this issue, I’d greatly appreciate your help. We’re open to any suggestions or troubleshooting steps to try and resolve this.

Looks like a mailing problem. Do you have an SMTP Plugin configured?
Looks you’re hosting in WordPress.com, so it’s best if you reach out to WordPress.com support/forums.
You need to get a SMTP plugin set up to mail out, or uncheck the box Send User Notification
