This morning my site stopped working and my host found an error 522, which is a connection issue. On investigation they found a surge of activity which took down the server, particularly from AhrefsBot. It looks like this is a crawler from an SEO company, Ahrefs.
Has anyone else encountered this? I’ve never heard of the company and I’m not sure why it was scanning our site.
