Are Getty and WP compatible or How to embed a Getty Image as a featured image in a blog post?

[ad_1]

I have been struggling to find a legit way to use images from football games without going bankrupt.
For a moment, EMBED looked like an option, but the image code cannot be put as the main image in the post, only in text. Therrfore 100% pointless… https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/resources/embed

Has anyone found a way to do it?

If there is a way I desperately want to avoid being an image pirat…if possible. Hence looking for a solution.

NB if there is a workaround with Shutterstock or Imago, please share

  1. ANY use of Getty Images without licensing it is a copyright violation. Getty Images especially has been extremely after people who don’t license content, including the people that are visible on the image and used it for Instagram f.ex. Getty has been vigorous. So ANY attempt will get you fined. Their automated reporting tools are no joke.
