Hello,
Underneath the “Alternative Text” field within the “Edit Media” page, there’s a note that says to leave this box empty is the image is purely decorative (see first image). However, upon looking at the HTML of a webpage with an image who’s alt text I’ve left blank, the alt text tag is not correctly written to denote a decorative image. Instead of the image tag including ” alt=”” “, there’s simply “alt”, without the necessary equals sign and the empty quotation marks (see second image).
Has anyone had this issue? I also use the SEO Press plugin. I wonder if this is having any impact. Thank for your suggestions!
